Mosaic Days started long before there was a band. The six of them grew up together in Finland, and some of those friendships go back more than thirty years. Along the way they kept dreaming up new things to do together, from video game soundtracks to all kinds of side projects, until it all came together as Mosaic Days.

At the heart of the band are the songs of Jonne Valtonen, also known as Purple Motion, a name many will already know. His writing gives Mosaic Days its sound: catchy modern pop with big guitars and a good dose of electronic sparkle.

Nelli Nyman’s voice carries the songs, with Timo Haanpää and Tero Koski on guitars, Jari Riitala on bass and Rasmus Puranen on drums.

Their debut single, “Mosaic Days”, came out on 29 April 2023. Jonne wrote the music and Mikko Laine the lyrics, and the result is a song about life and sticking together: looking for light in dark times, and making the most of the moments that pass too quickly.

The single comes with a gorgeous anime music video that tells the song’s story in pictures. Watch it above, and turn it up!

Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to the mosaic.
